In addition to the cover image for the entire task, individual subtasks can also be assigned their own cover images. While the cover image of the task appears on the dashboard, subtask cover images are displayed within the respective task. In this subtask, you will add such images to visually differentiate the individual work steps for learners.
A well-chosen cover image can:
<ul>
<li>make the subtask visually appealing.</li>
<li>facilitate identification and retrieval.</li>
<li>provide an initial content-based orientation.</li>
</ul>
The image should match the topic of the subtask. You can use:
<ul>
<li>your own images (e.g. screenshots, graphics or photos from your work practice).</li>
<li>free stock photos from platforms such as Unsplash, Pexels or Pixabay.</li>
</ul>
💡 Important: Ensure that the image does not infringe any copyrights and is well suited for the dashboard format.
Goals/Outcomes
<ul>
<li>You know how to equip individual subtasks with cover images.</li>
<li>Your subtasks are visually appealing and easier to distinguish within the task.</li>
<li>Orientation for learners and teachers is improved.</li>
</ul>
Procedure
1. Introduction (watch video)
<ul>
<li>Watch the screen video 'Add Cover Images for Subtasks'.</li>
<li>Observe how cover images are added to subtasks.</li>
</ul>
2. Find and upload cover images for individual subtasks
<ul>
<li>Find a suitable image for each subtask.</li>
<li>Open the Task Manager and navigate to a subtask.</li>
<li>Upload the selected image and save the changes.</li>
</ul>
3. Review
<ul>
<li>Check whether the images are displayed correctly within the LWT.</li>
<li>Adjust the image section if necessary.</li>
</ul>
4. Optional: Deactivate cover image display
<ul>
<li>If a subtask does not require a cover image, go to the 'Overview' tab.</li>
<li>Deactivate the cover image display for this subtask.</li>
<li>Save the changes.</li>
</ul>
